CATCH THE VISION TRIATHLON
The Catch the Vision Triathlon will be held on Thursday, August 2, beginning at 9:30am. Participants should meet at the Camp Cowles swim area by 9:00am that morning.
The triathlon will be timed and in two age classes: 14–15 and 16–18. Adults may participate with either group. Prizes will be awarded for the first three places to the youth finishers. The goal is to have some competition and fun!
Bike check-in occurs at camp registration. The bicycles will be kept in Finch Lodge until race day.
All participants must have completed a BSA swim check before camp. Adults helping man the rowboats must have both Safety Afloat and Safe Swim Defense certifications.
Bring your swim suit, towel, goggles, and nose plugs. We will be swimming in Diamond Lake, so eye and nose gear is advised. The swim is 300 meters, out from the dock and back.
Bring your bicycle, bike helmet, bike clothing, and water bottle. It will be hot and the course is on asphalt roads. The course is 20K. Either mountain bikes or road bikes are adequate.
Bring running shoes (if different from biking shoes), different socks (if needed), sweat band, hat, etc. We will have a water station on the running path. The run is 5K.
