GATEWAYS

Thank you all for the great work you have done on your gateways. We needed over 750 12’ poles and 450 8’ poles to help make all these great gateways. A big “thank you” to Ranger Jack for cutting over 300 trees to give us the wood we needed and to Long Lake Lumber who donated all the 8’ poles. Thank you to the volunteers who help trim and cut all these trees into 12’ poles and the scouts who helped put the poles in each site.

It is great to see how you are all catching the vision. You can see in the photos how each entrance is different and unique.

Just a reminder, each gateway has to have at least one moving part. Everything needs to be lashed — no screws or nails. No plastic tubing.

If you have any questions about gateways before camp, contact Wayne Brower.

Here are some of the gateways that were in place when the encampment committee toured Camp Sunrise on July 19. Click on the photos to view the full-size images.
